When used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires, the term:

1. (1) "Agency" means the Agency for Health Care Administration.
2. (2) "Long-term care facility" means a skilled nursing facility, nursing facility, assisted living facility, adult family-care home, board and care facility, or any other similar adult care center.
3. (3) "Office" means the Office of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman.
4. (4) "Ombudsman" means the individual designated to head the Office of State Long-Term Care Ombudsman.
5. (5) "Resident" means an individual 60 years of age or older who resides in a long-term care facility.
6. (6) "Secretary" means the Secretary of Elderly Affairs.
