1. (1) It is hereby declared to be state policy to provide educational opportunity at state expense for the dependent children of those service members killed in the Iraqi missile attack on the U.S.S. Stark in the Persian Gulf on May 17, 1987, which service members claimed Florida as their home of record on the date of the attack.
2. (2) The provisions of ss. 240.404, 295.03, 295.04, and 295.05 shall apply.
