¹290.004 Definitions.--

As used in ss. 290.001-290.016:

1. (1) "Community investment corporation" means a black business investment corporation, a certified development corporation, a small business investment corporation, or other similar entity incorporated under Florida law that has limited its investment policy to making investments solely in minority business enterprises.
2. (2) "Department" means the ²Department of Commerce.
3. (3) "Director" means the director of the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development.
4. (4) "Governing body" means the council or other legislative body charged with governing the county or municipality.
5. (5) "Interagency coordinating council" means the Enterprise Zone Interagency Coordinating Council created pursuant to s. 290.009.
6. (6) "Minority business enterprise" has the same meaning as in s. 288.703.
7. (7) "Office" means the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development.
8. (8) "Secretary" means the Secretary of ²Commerce.

9. (9) "Small business" has the same meaning as in s. 288.703.
