1. (1) The purchase of raw materials for use by the Department of Corrections in its prison industry programs to manufacture or process products for resale is exempt from the provisions of this part.
2. (2) The provisions of this part do not apply to any purchases of commodities or contractual services made by any state agency from the department or from the nonprofit corporation organized under chapter 946.
