The Department of State is authorized to make agreements to indemnify against loss or damage such items as may be eligible in accordance with the provisions of ss. 265.51-265.56, and on such terms and conditions as the department may prescribe, by rule, in order to achieve the purposes of ss. 265.51-265.56 and, consistent with such purposes, in order to protect the financial interest of this state.
