1. (1) All state-owned or leased vehicles not otherwise assigned will be given a Class A-pool assignment classification. These vehicles will be centrally controlled and made available for specific trips and returned to the pool upon completion of the trips.

   Use Code A-1: Pool assignment – Pool vehicles for general use by employees that do not have a vehicle assigned to them.

2. (2) Pool vehicles may not be driven to an employee’s home unless:

   1. (a) Employee is departing upon or returning from an official trip away from his headquarters under circumstances which make it impractical to use other means of transportation.
   2. (b) Employee needs the use of the vehicle after completion of regular work day to conduct state business on the same day or before his usual working hours on the next day.
