1. (1) This Act shall become effective on January 1, 1984.

2. (2) As used in this Article, unless the context otherwise requires:

   1. (a) “Prior Uniform Commercial Code” means the Uniform Commercial Code as in effect prior to the effective date of this Act.
   2. (b) “Revised Uniform Commercial Code” means the Uniform Commercial Code as amended by this Act.
