The Ombudsperson must:

1. (1) Be a member in good standing of the Bar of this State.
2. (2) Have at least 5 years of experience in the practice of law in this State.
3. (3) Have experience in real estate law, including common interest community law.
4. (4) Have experience in conflict and alternative dispute resolution.
5. (5) Not engage in any other business or profession that conflicts with the powers and duties of the position or the Office.
6. (6) Comply with all restrictions on political activity applicable to Department employees pursuant to § 2509A of this title.
