Expiration of a Certificate of Approval

It is the responsibility of the nonpublic special education school or program to submit a timely application for renewal of its certificate of approval. The failure to submit a timely renewal application shall result in an automatic expiration of the certificate of approval as of the date of expiration on the certificate of approval. Upon expiration, the school or program shall be out of compliance with the Placement Act and may not serve District students.
