6270.1 As early as practicable, but no later than a resident's fourteenth (14th) birthday, the facility shall develop and follow a written plan to teach independent living skills that are individualized, age-appropriate, and in accordance with each resident's ISP, including knowledge, practices and skills in the following areas:

1. (a) General health, general safety and fire safety;
2. (b) Reproductive health and contraception;
3. (c) Parenting skills, including child development, health, and safety;
4. (d) HIV and sexually transmitted disease;
5. (e) Problem solving and decision-making;
6. (f) Conflict resolution, negotiation, team building, peer support, and relationship;
7. (g) Work readiness and employment;
8. (h) Stress reduction;
9. (i) Money management;
10. (j) Meal purchase, preparation and storage;
11. (k) Nutrition;
12. (l) Shopping;
13. (m) Personal grooming and hygiene;
14. (n) Transportation; and
15. (o) Household maintenance.
