5300.1 The purpose of this chapter is to establish the standards under which managed care providers that are to be paid on a fixed, prepaid, capitated basis may qualify to participate as managed care providers serving District residents who are AFDC and AFDC-related Medicaid recipients.

5300.2 Only prepaid, capitated providers that meet the criteria in these standards shall qualify to provide services to District residents who are AFDC and AFDC-related Medicaid recipients as managed care providers.

5300.3 Prepaid capitated providers applying to provide services to AFDC and AFDC-related Medicaid recipients under this chapter shall not be subject to the standards in Chapter 55 of Title 22 regarding prepaid providers serving other categories of Medicaid recipients.
