D.C. Mun. Regs. tit. 29, § 1640
1640.1 The agency shall notify each applicant of its decision to accept or deny his or her application to be a foster parent within thirty (30) days of its receipt.1640.2 A foster home shall be re-evaluated two (2) years after the date of the initial approval and every two (2) years thereafter.1640.3 If the initial foster home study was performed by the same child-placing agency, the foster home re-evaluation shall include:- (a) One visit to the home;
- (b) Face-to-face interviews with each member of the household;
- (c) Updated medical reports on all members of the household; and
- (d) Any changes from the initial foster home study.1640.4 If the initial foster home study was performed by a different child-placing agency, the child-placing agency's re-evaluation shall include the following:- (a) Two visits with the foster parent(s), one of which shall be in the home;
- (b) Face-to-face interviews with each member of the household;
- (c) Updated medical reports on the members of the household; and
- (d) Any changes in the family's data from the initial home study.
