2709.1 In each adult trauma care facility, the postanesthetic recovery room (PAR), which may be the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, shall be staffed and equipped as follows:

1. (a) Registered nurses and other essential personnel twenty-four (24) hours per day;
2. (b) Equipment for the continuous monitoring of temperature, hemodynamics, and gas exchange;
3. (c) Equipment for the continuous monitoring of intracranial pressure;
4. (d) Pulse oximetry;
5. (e) Reserved; and
6. (f) Thermal control.
