6612.1 The Board may, in its discretion, approve courses that contribute to the competency of a professional counselor in one or more of the following areas:
- (a) Ethics (standards of practice or laws governing behavioral science professions);
- (b) Counseling theory;
- (c) Human growth and development;
- (d) Social and cultural foundations;
- (e) The helping relationship;
- (f) Group dynamics, processing and counseling;
- (g) Lifestyle and career development;
- (h) Appraisal of individuals;
- (i) Research and evaluation;
- (j) Professional orientation;
- (k) Clinical supervision;
- (l) Marriage and family therapy;
- (m) Addictions; or
- (n) Trauma.
