6612.1 The Board may, in its discretion, approve courses that contribute to the competency of a professional counselor in one or more of the following areas:

1. (a) Ethics (standards of practice or laws governing behavioral science professions);
2. (b) Counseling theory;
3. (c) Human growth and development;
4. (d) Social and cultural foundations;
5. (e) The helping relationship;
6. (f) Group dynamics, processing and counseling;
7. (g) Lifestyle and career development;
8. (h) Appraisal of individuals;
9. (i) Research and evaluation;
10. (j) Professional orientation;
11. (k) Clinical supervision;
12. (l) Marriage and family therapy;
13. (m) Addictions; or
14. (n) Trauma.
