Coverage Under the Act: Exclusions
Authority: The Director of the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, pursuant to authority set forth in Article III of Reorganization Plan No. 1 of 1983, effective March 31, 1983, and Mayor’s Order 83-92, effective April 7, 1983; section 6(h) of An Act To provide for the abatement of nuisances in the District of Columbia by the Commissioners of said District, and for other purposes, approved April 14, 1906 (34 Stat. 114; D.C. 6600.1 The jurisdiction of the Director extends to each vacant building in the District of Columbia which is covered on or after the effective date of the Abatement and Condemnation of Nuisance Properties Omnibus Amendment Act of 2000.
6600.2 Each vacant building in the District of Columbia is covered by § 101 of the Act except those vacant buildings excluded from coverage by § 6603 of this chapter.
