2809.1 Each plat for recording shall bear the registration seal and contain a certification in the following format:

I certify that the survey shown hereon was made by me or under my direction in accordance with chapter 28 of title 10 DCMR.

2809.2 The plat shall contain a statement for use by the Office of the Surveyor in the following format:

OFFICE OF THE SURVEYOR, D.C.

This plat is accepted for recordation in accordance with chapter 28 of title 10 DCMR.

2809.3 The plat shall also contain a provision for use by the Office of the Surveyor in the following format:

2809.4 The plat for recording shall be accompanied by the field notes prepared in accordance with §2811.

2809.5 The D.C. Surveyor may review the plat to determine compliance with §§2808 and 2811.

2809.6 The acceptance of the field notes for filing and the recordation of the plat by the D.C. Surveyor shall not be construed as, nor constitute, an official approval or certification by the D.C. Surveyor or the District of Columbia government of the accuracy of the survey performed by the Registered Land Surveyor.

2809.7 The Registered Land Surveyor may be furnished one certified print of the recorded plat, free of charge.
