2708.1 Upon compliance with all provisions of this chapter, the Surveyor shall approve for record all plats of subdivision, which shall thereafter become the property of the District of Columbia.

2708.2 The original document shall be recorded and filed in the Office of the Surveyor, and one (1) true copy shall be filed in the records of the Property Tax Division, Finance Office, D.C.
