1707.1 If a contract specifies the date on which payment is due, the required payment date is the date specified in the contract.

1707.2 If a contract does not specify a payment date, the required payment date will be one of the following:

1. (a) Meat and meat food products - the seventh (7th) day after the date of delivery of the meat or meat product;
2. (b) Perishable agricultural commodities - the tenth (10th) day after the date of delivery of the perishable agricultural commodity; or
3. (c) All other goods and services - the thirtieth (30th) day after the receipt of a proper invoice by the designated payment officer.

1707.3 The following rules shall apply in computing required payment dates:

1. (a) The date of the delivery of meat or meat food products or perishable agricultural commodities, or the date an invoice for other goods and services is received, is not counted;
2. (b) Days designated as legal holidays in the District of Columbia under D.C. Code § 28-2701 (1996 Repl.) are not counted; and
3. (c) Saturdays and Sundays are counted unless they are legal holidays.
