- (a) In Fiscal Years 2025 and 2026, the Department of Health shall establish a grocery access pilot grant program for the purpose of providing up to 1,000 eligible District residents with membership to a grocery delivery service at no cost for 2 years.
(b)
(1) To be eligible to participate in the pilot program, an applicant shall:
- (A) Be a resident of the District; and
- (B) Be enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education ("SNAP-Ed") program.
- (2) The Department of Health shall give preference to an applicant who lives in an "eligible area" as that term is defined in § 47-3801(1D)(A).
- (c) At the conclusion of the 2-year pilot program, the Department of Health shall incorporate the data collected in the program in their SNAP-Ed program.
- (d) The data collected pursuant to subsection (c) of this section shall be made available to the Council upon request.
