D.C. Code § 7-1141.01
For the purposes of this chapter, the term:
Applicability of D.C. Law 20-61: Section 11001 of D.C. Law 20-61 provided that, except as otherwise provided, the act shall apply as of October 1, 2013.
Section 5132 of D.C. Law 20-61 provided that for fiscal year 2014, the Department of Human Services (“DHS”) shall enter into a Memorandum of Understanding of up to $2.5 million with the Department of Behavioral Health (“DBH”) for a substance abuse treatment program for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (“TANF”) clients. DHS shall work with DBH, other agencies, and community-based experts as necessary to establish an integrated system of care for TANF beneficiaries living with barriers, including mental health disorders, alcohol and substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS. DHS shall present the integrated system of care plan to the Committee on Human Services no later than December 1, 2013.
For a requirement that by October 31, 2023, the Department of Behavioral Health shall award a grant in the amount of $600,000 to a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with experience in substance abuse harm reduction services to provide direct support, relationship development, and resource brokering to individuals in need of substance abuse and behavioral health services at certain locations, see section 5062 of D.C. Law 25-50.
For a requirement that by October 31, 2023, the Department of Behavioral Health shall award a grant in the amount of $750,000 to an organization responsible for maintaining a Main Street corridor in Ward 1 to hire 8 full-time positions to provide direct support, relationship development, and resource brokering to individuals at certain locations, see section 5063 of D.C. Law 25-50.
For a requirement that the Department of Behavioral Health ("DBH") shall award one or more grants by October 31, 2024 to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations with experience in substance abuse harm reduction services, and that the not-for-profit organizations awarded a grant shall submit a report to DBH by November 30, 2025, on an emergency basis, see section 5192 of D.C. Act 25-506.
For a requirement that the Department of Behavioral Health ("DBH") shall award one or more grants by October 31, 2024 to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations with experience in substance abuse harm reduction services, and that the not-for-profit organizations awarded a grant shall submit a report to DBH by November 30, 2025, see section 5192 of D.C. Law 25-217.
For a requirement that the Department of Behavioral Health ("DBH") shall award one or more grants by October 31, 2025 to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations with experience in substance use harm reduction services, and that the not-for-profit organizations awarded a grant shall submit a report to DBH by November 30, 2026, see section 5182 of D.C. Law 26-146.
For a requirement that the Department of Behavioral Health ("DBH") shall award one or more grants by October 31, 2025 to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations with experience in substance use harm reduction services, and that the not-for-profit organizations awarded a grant shall submit a report to DBH by November 30, 2026, see section 5182 of D.C. Law 26-210.
For a requirement that the Department of Behavioral Health ("DBH") shall award one or more grants by October 31, 2025 to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations with experience in substance use harm reduction services, and that the not-for-profit organizations awarded a grant shall submit a report to DBH by November 30, 2026, see section 5182 of D.C. Law 26-210.
Section 5131 of D.C. Law 20-61 provided that Subtitle L of Title V of the act may be cited as the “Department of Human Services Memorandum of Understanding Authority for Substance Abuse Treatment Act of 2013”.
Section 5111 of D.C. Law 20-61 provided that Subtitle J of Title V of the act may be cited as the “Department of Behavioral Health Establishment Act of 2013”.
