1. (a) Within one year after the applicability date of this section, the Mayor shall issue rules to:

   1. (1) Ensure that all District agencies equipped with LPRS for enforcement of parking or moving violations utilize the same database of information;
   2. (2) Maximize the ability of District agencies equipped with LPRS to transmit information to the Department that may assist in identifying the location of immobilization-eligible vehicles;
   3. (3) Maintain reasonable security procedures and practices, including operational, administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect LPRS information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure; and
   4. (4) Implement a usage and privacy policy in order to ensure that the collection, use, maintenance, sharing, and dissemination of LPRS information is consistent with respect to individuals' privacy and civil liberties.

Applicability of D.C. Law 25-325: § 401 of D.C. Law 25-325 provided that the creation of this section by § 113 of D.C. Law 25-325 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.

Applicability

Applicability of D.C. Law 25-325: § 401 of D.C. Law 25-325 provided that the creation of this section by § 113 of D.C. Law 25-325 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.

Section 2 of D.C. Law 26-120 amended the applicability provision of section 113 of D.C. Law 25-325 that impacted this section. Therefore the creation of this section by §113 of Law 25-325 has been implemented.
