(a)
- (1) In addition to a Director, the Department shall have a Deputy Director, and other professional and support personnel as necessary and appropriate to carry out the Department's mission.
- (2) The Deputy Director shall have a masters or doctoral degree in an applicable area of science or forensic analysis and a minimum of 2 years experience in forensic sciences.

Applicability
Applicability of D.C. Law 24-348: § 10 of D.C. Law 24-348 provided that the change made to this section by § 2(g) of D.C. Law 24-348 is subject to the inclusion of the law’s fiscal effect in an approved budget and financial plan. Therefore that amendment has not been implemented.
