Uniform Law: This section is based upon § 901 of the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (2001 Act).

Effective Dates

Applicability: Section 3 of D.C. Law 16-137 provided: “This act shall apply as of April 1, 2007.”

Effect of Amendments

D.C. Law 16-137 rewrote the section which had read as follows: “This chapter shall be applied and construed to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect to the subject of this chapter among states enacting it.”
