D.C. Code § 42-1681

Definitions.

Effective Oct 1, 2025Oct. 1, 2025, D.C. Law 26-41, § 101

(a) For purposes of this chapter, the term:
1. (1) "Department" means the Department of Housing and Community Development.
2. (2) "Funeral services establishment" shall have the same meaning as set forth in § 3-402(11).
3. (3) "Heir" shall have the same meaning as set forth in § 20-101(c).
4. (4) "Legatee" shall have the same meaning as set forth in § 20-101(g).
5. (5) "Survivor of the deceased" means any individual with whom funeral services are being arranged.
