Budget structure for new agencies.

Effective Nov 13, 2021Nov. 13, 2021, D.C. Law 24-45, § 1122

The Chief Financial Officer may, for the purpose of establishing a budget structure for new agencies within the financial system for Fiscal Year 2022:

  1. (a)

    1. (1) Create new agencies in the financial system, as necessary, and reallocate funds in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer for the purpose of implementing Chapter 6D of Title 4; and
    2. (2)

      1. (A) Create the Department of Buildings and redesignate the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs ("DCRA") as the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection in the financial system; and
      2. (B) Reallocate funds budgeted in DCRA and in the Non-Departmental Account as necessary to implement Chapter 5B of Title 10 and § 6-507.
