1. (a) The State Marshal Commission shall administer to each applicant for appointment as a state marshal a written examination to determine the applicant's knowledge of service of process and execution.

2. (b) The examination shall include, but not be limited to, the following subjects:

   1. (1) The functions of a state marshal, including, service of process and execution; and(2) Familiarity with the applicable portions of the Connecticut General Statutes, the Connecticut Practice Book and the commission's regulations.
3. (c) A raw score of at least 80 percent shall be required to pass the examination.
