Submission and Review of Rates for Medicare Supplement Insurance

As used in Sections 38a-474-1 to 38a-474-4, inclusive, of the regulations of Connecticut state agencies:

1. (1) "Commissioner" means the Insurance Commissioner.
2. (2) "Insurer" means insurance company, fraternal benefit society, hospital service corporation, medical service corporation, or health care center.
3. (3) "Medicare supplement policy" means any Medicare supplement policy or certificate, as defined in Sections 38a-495, 38a-495a and 38a-522 of the general statutes, delivered, issued for delivery, continued or renewed in this state on or after October 1, 1990 by any insurer.
