Request for expedited arbitration

Effective Apr 5, 1999State Board of Mediation and Arbitration

(a) Upon mutual request by both parties to a dispute, the board will process the dispute according to the following expedited arbitration procedure.
1. (1) There shall be no stenographic record;
2. (2) There shall be no briefs;
3. (3) There shall be no written opinion accompanying the award;
4. (4) A single arbitrator may hear the case at the option of the parties;
5. (5) All other requirements of the board's regulations concerning arbitration, which are not in conflict with this section, shall apply;
6. (6) Arbitrability may not be claimed; and(7) Only one day of hearings shall be allowed for each case.
