- (a) Incorporation by reference.In addition to the requirements incorporated by reference in section 22a-153-1 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, a person subject to this section shall comply with the requirements of this section.
(b) Applicability.
- (1) This section applies to any person authorized in a license issued by the commissioner for the medical use of byproduct material within the state.
- (2) This section shall not apply to any person to the extent such person is subject to regulation by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
- (c) Authorization for calibration, transmission, and reference sources.Notwithstanding the incorporation by reference of 10 CFR 35.65, a licensee authorized for medical use of radioactive materials shall not receive, possess or use radium in total quantity of ten microcuries (10 µCi) or thirty-seven hundredths megabecquerels (.37 MBq), or more for check, calibration, transmission and reference use except as specifically authorized by the commissioner.
