The regional field offices implement the various programs of the division under the guidance of the various staff directors and chiefs. For purposes of program implementation, the state is divided into five regions:

1. (1) Northwest quarter;
2. (2) Southwest quarter;
3. (3) Middle-eastern quarter;
4. (4) Far eastern quarter; and (5) Marine district, comprising the area along Long Island Sound. A field office and staff exist in each region.
