As used in Section 17a-392-1 to Section 17a-392-14, inclusive:

1. (a) The ACT means Chapter 319a Connecticut General Statutes.
2. (b) Applicant means a person who has applied for initial or continued participation in the program.
3. (c) Application means the forms and other data submitted by an applicant which may be used by the department to determine an applicant's eligibility to participate in the program.
4. (d) Department means the Department on Aging.
5. (e) Medicare means the Federal program of health insurance pursuant to Title XVIII of the Social Security Act of 1935, as amended.
6. (f) Medicare Assignment Card means the identification card issued pursuant to the act and these regulations for the purpose of participation in the program.
7. (g) Pace means the Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract to the elderly and disabled program administered by the department pursuant to Chapter 319e Connecticut General Statutes as amended.
8. (h) Program means the Connecticut Medicare Assignment Program administered by the department pursuant to Chapter 319g Connecticut General Statutes.
