Registration of Motor Vehicles Engaged in Seasonal Operations

As used in sections 14-48c-1 to 14-48c-3, inclusive, of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, the following words shall have the following meanings:

1. (1) ‘‘Commercial motor vehicle engaged in seasonal operations’’ means any motor vehicle, including a trailer, used to transport merchandise, freight or persons in connection with any business enterprise and for which a commercial registration is issued in accordance with the fee schedule of subsection (a) of section 14-47 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
2. (2) ‘‘Registration year’’ means the period beginning during the month of April and ending during the month of April the following year.
3. (3) ‘‘Seasonal operations’’ means operation of a commercial motor vehicle for construction, farming, landscaping, oil delivery and like industries where business demands vary with the seasons of the year.
4. (4) ‘‘Permanent registration’’ means a registration issued in accordance with the provisions of subsection (a) of section 14-47 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
