1. (a) The commissioner, prior to issuing a final decision, may request any additional documents or evidence during or after the hearing necessary for the disposition of the case. The commissioner may further investigate or order such investigation on any aspect of the evidence presented at the hearing in order that a just and equitable final decision is rendered.
2. (b) Within ten (10) days after the commissioner mails notification that such additional evidence has been received by the commissioner, a party may request an opportunity for cross examination. The commissioner may grant an opportunity for cross examination limited solely to such additional evidence.
