For purposes of sections 22a-256f to 22a-256i, inclusive:

1. (1) “Battery” means a lead acid battery or a motor vehicle battery;
2. (2) “Retailer” means a person who engages in the sale of batteries to a consumer;
3. (3) “Wholesaler” means a person who engages in the sale of batteries to a retailer in this state;
4. (4) “Place of business of a retailer” means the location at which a retailer sells or offers for sale batteries.
