1. (a) As used in Article III of section 17a-175, “appropriate public authorities”, with reference to this state, means the Commissioner of Children and Families or the commissioner's designee and said commissioner shall receive and act with reference to notices required by said Article III.
2. (b) As used in Article V(a) of section 17a-175, “appropriate authority in the receiving state”, with reference to this state, means the Commissioner of Children and Families or the commissioner's designee.
