1. (a) Each school bus, as defined in subsection (a) of section 14-275, used for the transportation of school children and each motor vehicle used to transport passengers for hire shall be equipped with a defrosting device, in good working order and adequate to prevent the accumulation of snow, ice, frost or condensation on the windshield.
2. (b) Operation of a motor vehicle or, as owner, permitting the operation of a motor vehicle, in violation of any provision of this section, shall be an infraction.
