Colo. Rev. Stat. § 35-44-111
A person who conceals an estray found or taken into the person's custody, or effaces or changes a mark or brand on an estray, or carries an estray beyond the limits of the county where found, or knowingly permits the concealment, effacing, or changing of a mark or brand on an estray animal to be done, or neglects to notify or give information of an estray to the state board of stock inspection commissioners is guilty of a class 6 felony and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided in section 18-1.3-401.
