Colo. Rev. Stat. § 35-28-111
The commissioner shall suspend, amend, or terminate a marketing order, or a provision of a marketing order, whenever the commissioner finds that the provision or order does not tend to effectuate the declared purposes of this article 28 within the standards and subject to the limitations and restrictions imposed in this article 28, but the suspension or termination is not effective until the expiration of the current marketing season. If the commissioner finds that the termination of a marketing order is requested in writing by more than fifty percent of the producers who are engaged within the designated production area in the production for market of the commodity specified in the marketing order, or who produce for market more than fifty percent of the volume of the commodity produced within the designated production area for market, the commissioner shall terminate or suspend for a specified period the marketing order or provision, but such termination is effective only if announced on or before such date, as may be specified in the order.
