1. (1) A local government may enact a law establishing a minimum wage for individuals performing work while physically within the local government's jurisdiction in accordance with section 8-6-101.

2. (2) As used in this section, local government means a:

   1. (a) City;
   2. (b) Home rule city;
   3. (c) Town;
   4. (d) Territorial charter city;
   5. (e) City and county;
   6. (f) County; or
   7. (g) Home rule county.
