peal. (1) The executive director or the executive director's designee shall appoint a director of the division. The commission shall provide comment and input on the hiring of the division director.

   1. (a) The commission shall convene its first meeting of each fiscal year no later than October 1.
   2. (b) The commission may adopt such policies as are necessary to facilitate orderly conduct of its business.
   3. (c) The commission shall meet at least quarterly. Meetings shall also be held on call of the chair or at the request of at least three members of the commission.
   4. (d) The commission shall adopt no official position, recommendation, or action except by the concurrence of a majority of the members.
   5. (e) The commission shall encourage development and coordination of public and private agencies providing assistance to deaf, hard-of-hearing, and deafblind persons.
   6. (f) Repealed.
   7. (g) The commission shall advise the division on its functions and duties as set forth in section 26-21-106.

3. (5) Subsection (2) of this section and this subsection (5) are repealed, effective September 1, 2031. Before the repeal, subsection (2) of this section and this subsection (5) are scheduled for review in accordance with section 2-3-1203.
