As used in this title 12, unless the context otherwise requires:

1. (1) Department means the department of regulatory agencies created in section 24-1-122.
2. (2) Executive director means the executive director of the department or the executive director's designee.
3. (3) Profession or occupation, profession, or occupation means an activity subject to regulation by a part or article of this title 12.
