USDA river basin activities include:

1. (a) Cooperative river basin surveys in coordination with Federal, State, and local agencies;
2. (b) Floodplain management assistance in coordination with the responsible State agency and involved local governments;
3. (c) Joint investigations and reports with the Department of the Army under Pub. L. 87-639, 76 Statute 438 (16 U.S.C. 1009); and
4. (d) Interagency coordination of water resources activities.
