As appropriate for the intended voyage, all vessels except barges, ferryboats and vessels operating exclusively on rivers, must carry adequate and up-to-date—

1. (a) Charts;
2. (b) Sailing directions;
3. (c) Coast pilots;
4. (d) Light lists;
5. (e) Notices to mariners;
6. (f) Tide tables;
7. (g) Current tables; and
8. (h) All other nautical publications necessary. ¹
