This subpart applies to the following industrial systems on board a mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU):

1. (a) Cementing systems.

2. (b) Circulation systems, including—

   1. (1) Pipes and pumps for mud;
   2. (2) Shale shakers;
   3. (3) Desanders; and
   4. (4) Degassers.
3. (c) Blow out preventor control systems.
4. (d) Riser and guideline tensioning systems.
5. (e) Motion compensation systems.
6. (f) Bulk material storage and handling systems.
7. (g) Other pressurized systems designed for the MODU's industrial operations.
