If a recipient is determined to have violated this part, as described in § 1401.600 or § 1401.605, DOI may take one or more of the following actions—

1. (a) Suspension of payments under the award;
2. (b) Suspension or termination of the award; and
3. (c) Suspension or debarment of the recipient under 2 CFR part 180, for a period not to exceed five years.
