16 C.F.R. § 1112.41 – What are the possible adverse actions the CPSC may take against a third party conformity assessment body?

(a) Potential adverse actions against a third party conformity assessment body include:
1. (1) Denial of Acceptance of Accreditation;
2. (2) Suspension of Acceptance of Accreditation; or
3. (3) Withdrawal of Acceptance of Accreditation.
(b) Withdrawal of acceptance of accreditation can be on a temporary or permanent basis, and the CPSC may immediately withdraw its acceptance in accordance with § 1112.53.
