As used in this article, the following definitions apply:

1. (a) “Authority” means the Bay Area Toll Authority created pursuant to Chapter 4.3 (commencing with Section 30950).
2. (b) “Toll bridge” means that certain bridge across San Francisco Bay known as the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and the approaches thereto.
