For purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the following meanings:

1. (a) “Ocean resources” means all living and nonliving resources found in the Pacific Ocean and its contiguous saline or brackish bays and estuaries.
2. (b) “Trust” means the California Ocean Science Trust authorized by Section 36990.
3. (c) “Trustees” means the trustees of the trust.
