A license may be denied or revoked by the State Fire Marshal for either of the following reasons:

1. (a) The applicant made a material misrepresentation or false statement in the application.
2. (b) Violation of any provision of this chapter or any regulation adopted by the State Fire Marshal pursuant to this chapter.
