“Farm products creditor” means either of the following:
- (a) A person who produced and sold a farm product produced in this state to a person licensed pursuant to Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 55401) or Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 56101) who failed to pay for the farm product.
- (b) A person licensed pursuant to Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 56101) who sold or handled a farm product produced in this state to a person licensed pursuant to Chapter 6 (commencing with Section 55401) or Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 56101) who failed to pay for the farm product.
